Corrugated Roofing Sheets

SENBO Corrugated Roofing Sheets are durable metal roofing solutions formed through precision cold-roll technology. Featuring a high-strength wave profile, they provide excellent load performance with a lightweight structure. Available in various metal materials and thicknesses, they offer a 40–50 year service life and are widely used in industrial, commercial, and large-span roofing projects.

Corrugated roofing sheets are architectural panels with a wave-like profile, continuously formed from metal coils (pre-coated steel or alloy sheets) using multi-stage cold-roll forming equipment. The cross-section features a continuous sinusoidal wave or a near-trapezoidal corrugation; this structural design significantly enhances the bending stiffness of the thin steel sheet along the direction of the corrugations (parallel to the ribs), enabling it to meet load-bearing and span requirements despite a thickness of only 0.6–1.5 mm.

Regarding product specifications, common thicknesses range from 0.6 to 1.5 mm, and effective coverage widths range from 780 to 1,200 mm (depending on the profile); lengths can be customized according to project requirements. Products comply with the national standard GB/T 12755-2008 (Profiled Steel Sheets for Building) and relevant international standards.

Verification of Actual Performance

1. Verification of Large-Span Arched Roof Structures

The metal arched corrugated roof structural system was introduced from the United States in 1992; it consists of an arched roof structure formed by roll-forming pre-coated steel coils. Characterized by material efficiency, rapid construction, large span capabilities, and excellent waterproofing, this type of structure has seen rapid growth in my country's construction market. Currently, it can achieve spans exceeding 36 meters, making it suitable for large-space buildings that do not require internal supports, such as warehouses, sports venues, and exhibition halls. The steel structure features a thickness of 0.6–1.5 mm, a strength rating of 210–550 MPa, and an ultimate service life of 40–50 years.

2. Verification of Roof Waterproofing and Drainage Performance

The sinusoidal cross-sectional design of corrugated roof panels provides excellent drainage performance. In regions with high rainfall, the drainage system is particularly critical for pitched roofs utilizing corrugated roofing. The corrugation height and pitch are optimized based on fluid dynamics to ensure rapid runoff from the valleys to the eaves, thereby minimizing the risk of roof leakage. In practical applications, the drainage slope for corrugated roofing should be at least 5% to comply with building waterproofing standards.

3. Verification of Durability—50-Year Service Life for Aluminum-Magnesium-Manganese Alloy

Corrugated panels made of aluminum-magnesium-manganese alloy offer excellent corrosion resistance and self-healing capabilities, boasting a service life of up to 50 years. A dense protective aluminum oxide film naturally forms on the material's surface, providing corrosion resistance that significantly outperforms galvanized steel in marine climates and industrial environments. These panels are suitable for structures such as automotive dealerships, modern industrial plants, exhibition halls, and film/television production bases; common thicknesses range from 0.7 mm to 1.2 mm.

4. Verification of Wind Uplift Resistance

Corrugated roof panels are connected to roof purlins via brackets or fasteners, with the continuous interlocking or overlapping configuration of the corrugated profile creating a structural system resistant to wind uplift. In long-span arched roof structures, the combination of the panel's arched shape and its corrugated cross-section delivers superior load-bearing capacity against wind forces, making it an ideal choice for roofing systems in typhoon-prone regions.

Key Advantages

Corrugated Profile: Lightweight yet High-Strength: The sinusoidal design significantly enhances the bending rigidity of thin sheets; thicknesses of 0.6–1.5 mm meet standard roofing span requirements while reducing structural loads.

Excellent Drainage Performance: The troughs of the corrugated surface form natural drainage channels, ensuring smooth water runoff—ideal for pitched-roof buildings in high-rainfall regions.

Diverse Materials for Flexible Selection: Options range from economical galvanized steel and corrosion-resistant Al-Zn coated steel to long-lasting Al-Mg-Mn alloy (up to 50-year lifespan), allowing for flexible selection based on project environment and budget.

Capability for Large-Span Arched Structures: Utilizing a metal arched corrugated roofing system enables column-free, large-span spaces exceeding 36 meters, offering rapid construction and material efficiency.

Quick Installation and Efficient Construction: Factory prefabrication combined with on-site assembly—using seaming or overlapping connection methods—allows for large daily installation areas and significantly shortens the roofing construction cycle.

Applications

Metal roofing systems for industrial plants and logistics warehouses (galvanized or color-coated corrugated sheets).

Pitched roofs for residential buildings in high-rainfall areas (corrugated roofing tiles).

Arched roofs for large-span stadiums, exhibition halls, and film/TV production bases (aluminum-magnesium-manganese corrugated sheets).

Weather-resistant roofing for buildings in coastal or corrosive environments (Al-Zn alloy coated or aluminum-magnesium-manganese corrugated sheets).
